 Biomass Briquettes (Sizing & GCV Specifications)

Briquettes (often called White Coal) are larger, high-density blocks manufactured via ramming or screw-extrusion presses. They are preferred for manual/gravity-fed furnaces, brick kilns, and large-scale manufacturing boilers. 

  • Standard Sizing:
    • Diameter: Commonly 60 mm, 80 mm, or 90 mm cylindrical profiles.
    • Length: Long-form logs variable between 100 mm to 400 mm depending on handling requirements. 
  • GCV Parameters (By Crop Core Material):
    • Pure Sawdust Briquettes: GCV ranges between 4,000 to 4,400 kcal/kg.
    • Groundnut Shell Briquettes: The standard choice for commercial machinery. GCV ranges between 3,600 to 4,200 kcal/kg.
    • Sugarcane Bagasse / Mustard Stalk Briquettes: GCV ranges between 3,400 to 3,900 kcal/kg.
