Biomass Pellets (Sizing & GCV Specifications)

Pellets are highly compressed, small-diameter cylindrical bio-coals engineered primarily for automated feeding systems in thermal power plants and medium-scale industrial boilers. 

• Standard Sizing:
  • Diameter: Typically 6 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm, or 16 mm. (Commercial supply caps maximum diameter under 25 mm).
  • Length: Uniform lengths ranging between 10 mm to 35 mm.
  • Fines Limit: Must contain less than or equal to 5% dust/broken particles (<3 mm) on an As Received Basis (ARB) to ensure smooth material handling. 
• GCV Parameters (By Crop Core Material):
  • Wood / Sawdust Pellets: High energy yield. GCV ranges between 4,200 to 4,500 kcal/kg.
  • Groundnut Shell Pellets: Highly efficient due to natural oil remnants. GCV ranges between 3,800 to 4,200 kcal/kg.
  • Mustard / Paddy Straw Pellets: Standard agro-residue yield. GCV ranges between 3,200 to 3,800 kcal/kg.
